'Buildings are habitable
sculptures.'
'A building should have a
message to convey, a story to narrate.'
'Architecture is not about just
fulfilling a function. Its higher purpose is to create a sublime experience and move
people.'
'The world out there is
inseparably intertwined with our own lives.
Damaging the first will invariably damage the latter. It is vital to realize this
axiomatic truth in order to have a sustainable future.'
'The evolution of architecture
is fundamentally a narrative of how the
constructed environment evolved to fulfil specific functional requirements,
all while harmonizing with the innate natural conditions and cultural values of a given
location. It is crucial to continue this paradigm.'
Though it remains by far an enigma, nature offers invaluable lessons in many areas of our existence - on cohabitation, adaptation, survival and most importantly... creativity. The variety of forms that we see in nature, their sizes, colors, textures etc. not only daze but also encourage us to analyze their characteristics. A designer certainly stands to gain a lot from such an analysis.’
